Death metal band Tortharry emerged on the Czech metal scene in August 1991. A few months later, the band recorded its first demo "Mezi nebem a peklem". A year later, the band lineup is finalized and with the exception of two changes remains till today. In 1994 Tortharry released its debut album "When the Memories are free", followed by five more studio albums - "Book of Dreams" (1997), "Unseen" (1999), "White" (2003), "Reborn" (2006) and thus far last one "Round Table of Suicide" which came out in November 2008. Beside the LPs, the band also contributed to various compilation albums of both domestic and foreign production. In the course of its existence, Tortharry has played numerous concerts both in Czech Republic, where the band performed twice alongside iconic Death, as well as abroad (Portugal, Germany, Austria, Latvia, Lithuania) In 2007 the band participated on the South American tour of Belphegor and Gorgoroth. In November 2010, the seventh studio album entitled "Beneath" was spawned under MetalGate Records.
