Abstinenz

Abstinenz
German black metal band Abstinenz was formed in 2001 in the Novesia/Bonn region and quickly established itself in the domestic black underground. In 2002, a three-song demo was released. During the following years, the band concentrated mostly on live shows on the German scene and was gradually preparing material for its debut album. That was released in 2007 under the title “Altes Blut” and gained high acclaims from the whole community. Subsequently comes however a period of stagnation, as most of the members left the band. Still, the lineup got reformed between 2008 and 2009 and Abstinenz began to play live again, this time also on bigger shows. Furthermore, preparations for the second studio album commenced as well.
