Black-doom formation Heiden from Brno was formed in 2003 as a raw pagan black metal project thematically focused on nature-based mysticism and Celtic heritage. In 2004, the first demo “V moudrosti stromů” was released, followed in the same year by a debut album “Potomkům pozemského soumraku”. A year later, the second studio creation “Tinne” came out. In summer 2005 the band lineup underwent some changes, thanks to which the initial pagan black era of the band came to an end. Heiden became a regular band music-wise established a new direction in which the black metal basis has been retained, but supplemented with rock and doom metal elements. The first creation under such new heading was the album “Era 2”, released in 2007, which is considered by the band as a full-fledged debut. Heiden furthermore participated along with the pagan black metalheads Trollech from Plzeň on a split album “Trollech vs. Heiden”. In March 2009, the current album “Obsidian” was released.
