This death metal formation was created in 1998 out of the remnants of band called Allhallows, which was active on the Czech metal scene only for a very short time. A year after its birth, Mortifilia released its debut demo "...in your head" and afterwards embarked on a Czech tour. In 2000, the second demo "Care Of Gomorrah" was spawned. In 2001 the band played its first foreign concert in Germany together with bands Pandemia and F.O.B. A year latter, an official demo "Christ Hunt" was released and was very positivelly accepted by Czech metal community. The eponymous title song was also included in several compilations. The following years were for Mortifilia marked by intense concert activities both on the domestic and foreign scene, as well as by preparations of a debut studio album, which was released in 2005 under the title "Redemption". Three years later, Mortifila released its second, and thus far last, studio album "Embrace".
