Crossover-metalcore act Shadow Area from Strážnice was established at the turn of August and September 2009, initially as a purely metalcore project. After lineup was formed, band’s music was enriched with crossover elements. In 2010, Shadow Area released their debut album “Skylines”. A year later, the band took part in the second installment of metal bands contest MetalGate Massacre and gained in the May final the overall second place.
