Melancholy Pessimism

Melancholy Pessimism
Death-grind formation Melancholy Pessimism from Uherské Hradiště entered the Czech metal scene in 1992 with its eponymous demo. After subsequent changes in the lineup, the band released its debut album “Recompense To Saints” in 1996, the release party of which was joined by the British band Benediction. Three years later, the second studio album “Inconsistent World” came out, followed in 2000 by the album “Evil Planet”, which from a musical standpoint contains, besides death metal and grindcore, also elements of Moravian folklore. The discography of Melancholy Pessimism further expanded in 2002 with the release of “Global Terrorization” and in 2004 when “Dream Killers” came out. Both albums combine metal base with jazz elements. In 2010, the current album “End of Vermin Nations” was released. In course of its existence, the band played numerous live shows on both the club and the festival scene. Melancholy Pessimism also played live abroad, e.g. in Switzerland and Portugal, as well as supported on several occasions the icons of global metal, including Kataklysm and Napalm Death.
