The atmospheric black metal band Mater Montifera was established in 2000 in Trhové Sviny. After the initial lineup was formed, the band spawned in the same year a promo recording entitled “Vůně krve” and shortly afterwards a demo “Svíce Života”. Subsequently, the band began with its concert activities, during which the music presentation of Mater Monstifera crystallized as an atmospheric black metal with massive inclusion of keyboards. In 2002, MCD “Sepsáno krví” was released. For the following years, the band intensively played live. In 2005, the debut album “Zrozen z Hříchu” was spawned, followed in 2008 by a single “Beletseri”. The turn of 2010 and 2011 has been marked by several changes in the band lineup, as well as by the beginning of preparations of a new studio album.
